Travelex Digital Content Executive in GBR, United States

Reporting directly to the Senior Product Owner, the Digital Content Executive will be instrumental in driving operational efficiencies and optimising content across our digital platforms. This role encompasses managing daily content operations, enhancing the user experience on legacy systems, and playing a pivotal role in the strategic transformation of our global content management framework. The Executive will ensure the delivery of high-quality content operations, support the migration to new technology, and align efforts with the broader organisational goals of enhancing digital engagement and efficiency. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with both UK and global marketing teams to align content strategies and initiatives effectively.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • CMS Mastery: Serve as the expert on both the legacy and new CMS platforms, providing authoritative guidance and resolving issues to ensure optimal content management and user satisfaction across both systems.

  • Content Optimisation: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to both the legacy and new CMS, increasing their efficiency and user-friendliness, thereby ensuring a seamless transition and continuous improvement in content delivery.

  • Strategic Support: Assist in defining and implementing a new global Content Ops framework, contributing to the CMS transformation by integrating advanced content management practices.

  • Migration Leadership: Coordinate and manage the content migration from the old to the new CMS, ensuring continuity and alignment with strategic goals.

  • Innovation and Testing: Utilise AB testing and analytics tools to refine content strategies and improve user engagement across platforms.

  • Comprehensive Collaboration: Work closely with regional marketing teams and the Compliance & Risk teams to ensure content strategies are aligned with regulatory requirements and support the launch of new product features. This includes prompt resolution of audit issues and strategic content modifications.

  • Educational Resources: Develop comprehensive user guides and training videos for both platforms to minimise repetitive training and maximise user independence and proficiency.

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

  • Extensive experience with CMS platforms, preferably Umbraco.

  • Demonstrable skills in content optimisation and SEO best practices.

  • Strong expertise in technical SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, indexing, and mobile optimization.

  • An understanding of CRO, including the use of behavioural analytics tools.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate with diverse teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • An understanding of the need for design consistency and efficiency in digital content environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience in digital content roles within a global or multi-regional context.

  • Knowledge of headless CMS technology and content as a service (CaaS).

  • Familiarity with the latest digital marketing tools and platforms.

  • Experience in working within teams that have an established digital design system and library of template-driven UI components

Technical / professional qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant certifications in content management systems, SEO, or digital marketing.

  • Advanced understanding of front-end web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Proficiency in digital analytics and optimisation tools.

  • Use of digital collaboration tools such as Miro, Figjam, Figma, Jira, Confluence, Trello etc.

  • Understanding of digital accessibility guidelines such as WCAG
