Job Summary:
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join a high volume pulmonary practice:
Qualified Candidates:
Join a well-established group of three experienced physicians: two general pulmonologists and an interventional pulmonologist
Provider would focus primarily on inpatient service – rounding on patients, managing consults, performing procedures, and support of interventional pulmonology service.
Provider will work in conjunction with supervising physician on IP service that week and would see an average of 10 patient consults per day
Provider will manage visits of established patients one afternoon per week in OP clinic (Thursday); 8-10 patients on average
Provider may assist interventional pulmonologist with procedures and should be willing to perform the following procedures independently: chest tube placement and management, tracheostomy exchange, thoracentesis, and Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA) administration.
Prior procedure experience a plus, but not required
Prior inpatient experience preferred
Knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols is a plus
New grads encouraged to apply, as supervising providers are supportive of mentorship and education
Hours: M-F; 8am – 5pm
No night or weekend call coverage
