JOB SUMMARY

Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician (Survey Crew Chief) to join our Survey Technologies Group in our Denver, CO office.

The successful candidate will balance their time in the field on control, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking as Survey Crew Chief of a one, two or three-person field crew, and will also perform office duties, including research, data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs, and Civil 3D. Will accurately run and adhere to recommended survey measuring instruments maintenance schedules including levels, Trimble GPS equipment, and total stations with electronic data collecting capabilities. Will perform mathematical calculations and field checking of field data. Will take accurate and clear notes and performs note reduction. Will read and understand plans and specifications. WHO YOU ARE

You have a high School diploma or equivalent and/or a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. You have five years of related field survey crew experience that demonstrates increasing responsibility. You have advanced Geodetic and Boundary surveying skills. You have experience with GPS and Total Station surveying equipment, preferred. You have experience with aerial or mobile LiDAR platforms and software, preferred. You have strong technical skills, including experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS platforms, database environments. You have strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and work with limited supervision. You are able to lift up to 50 pounds. You are customer focused. You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn and grow. You welcome feedback and find ways to do your work better. You are eager to make your work more efficient by learning and mastering various surveying and engineering technologies. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license.
