Greater Southern Tier BOCES STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR in Elmira, New York

ANTICIPATED VACANCY

Full-time (1.0 FTE); 8.0 hour day; 12 month position

  • Designs and delivers evidence-based professional learning in support of GST regional priority areas and component district professional learning and technology plans.

  • Uses technology to enhance collaboration with colleagues and improve student outcomes.

  • Integrates Social Emotional Learning and Culturally Responsive-Sustaining principles into all facets of work.

  • Collaborates and co-plans with BOCES, component district staff, and consultants to build a shared vision, clarify short-term objectives, and measure progress using shared criteria for success.

  • Analyzes, disseminates, and applies pertinent SED guidance and updates.

  • Supervises and evaluates staff under APPR regulations, as requested by component districts.

  • Assists districts with data-informed instructional decision making.

  • Supports component district teacher mentoring programs.

  • Attends Regional Instructional Leaders and NYSED/SCDN meetings, as needed or appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Requires travel across the GST region and to Albany, NY on occasion.

Job Qualifications

Valid New York State certification in School District Administrator

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or school administration

  • Certified as Lead Evaluator or willing to become certified.
