Henry Ford Health System Translational Clinical Research Coordinator- Full time in Detroit, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Under minimal supervision of the Translational Center study team, works independently to coordinate translational research projects in both the clinic and laboratory setting, in compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations.

  • Provides technical support to Principal Investigators, analyzes protocol specific requirements and implements quality assurance measures to ensure physician, patient and investigator compliance.

  • Abstracts medical information from various sources in the patient medical record, coordinates all external and internal audits and monitoring visits, and serves as liaison between institution and sponsor.

  • Carries out research objectives by performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to direct patient contact in the various clinics across HFHS, data collection and analysis and minimal laboratory tasks.

  • Strong customer service skills and critical thinking skills required.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Research, Biology, Chemistry, Nursing or other closely related field.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience required.

  • Previous clinical and/or laboratory research experience preferred.

  • Basic Biostatistics knowledge preferred.

  • Phlebotomy preferred.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written skills at professional level.
