Job Purpose and Overview The Maintenance Clerk will perform clerical and organization functions for the Maintenance Department. The position will be responsible for ordering parts for the department, creating requisitions and purchase orders as well as managing inventory and processing work orders.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pm. While very rare, must be Flexible to work different shifts and weekends when necessary.

What will you do as a Maintenance Clerkat Dawn Foods? Generate work orders in COGZ. Work with vendors to get quotes and order parts; perform necessary research for new parts prior to ordering. Use SAP to create requisitions and then convert them into purchase orders. Receive packages from Warehouse and compare invoices to goods received; give approval to Receiving Lead in Warehouse to receive goods in system. File all hard copy paperwork on a daily basis. Maintain the parts inventory to include parts ordering, parts used, etc. Organizes and assists with coordinating daily preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment and maintenance work orders. Maintains first aid inventory. Assists other departments as needed. Helps with special projects. Meets and maintains safety, quality and productivity standards. Other duties as assigned.

What Does It Take to be a Maintenance Clerk at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. One (1) year of administrative experience preferably working in a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment or possessing a proven aptitude for machinery, cars, mechanical parts, etc. Knowledge of computers and ability to learn software programs such as SAP and COGZ; however, must know Word and Excel. Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to work well independently.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Temperature fluctuates with the season - colder during the winter/warmer during the summer. Working around heavy machinery - hearing protection required in production area. Compensation: $34,640-$51,960 Salaried Non-Exempt
