ARAMARK Events Operator Lead in Corning, New York

Job Description

The Events Operator Lead is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aspects of an event facilitated by the Catering Team including event set-up, execution, and clean up. This position will work closely with the Catering Director, Manager, hourly staff, and back of house team members to ensure guest and client expectations are exceeded.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.00 to $21.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Catering Director and Manager to plan and execute events according to client specifications and Aramark standards.

  • Coordinate with catering staff to ensure event set up, execution, and breakdown is completed timely and in accordance with client specifications and Aramark standards.

  • Communicate professionally with clients before, during, and after events to address any concerns or special requests.

  • Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise during events, escalating to management as needed.

  • Ensure service areas are maintained throughout the event including replenishment of product, cleanliness, and overall appearance.

  • Verify all catering staff are following safety, sanitation, and security protocols in accordance with Health Department, Aramark, and Client requirements, and addressing/escalating any concerns as appropriate.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times towards guests, clients, and co-workers, representing the venue and event in a positive light.

  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.

  • Ensure security of company assets

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a banquet server or in a food service role required.

  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred.

  • Demonstrates excellent professionalism.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

  • Requires ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

  • Requires ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures

  • Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.

  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
