DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be responsible for organizing the day-to-day operations of the office, implementing various office related policies and procedures, preparing reports and correspondence, developing recommendations, drafting letters and memorandums, filing and maintaining a functional filing system, and performing a variety of administrative functions.

This position involves discretion and diplomacy in dealing with the public and various offices of federal, state, and local government.  The position requires confidentiality, as it deals with, but is not limited to, sensitive material relating to facilities, youth, and families.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may change based on operation needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
