Job Overview To this end, the Science and Health Department at UC Clermont College seeks applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position and program coordinator in the area of Public Health. Essential Functions Tenure-track faculty responsibilities include the following: * Teaching twelve (12) credit-hours for each of two primary semesters (Fall and Spring). This individual should expect to focus on teaching public health courses in face to face, online, and hybrid formats, This could include Public Health and Social Work courses approved in the curriculum or other public health-associated healthcare science courses * Responding to student inquiries in a timely manner, posting and keeping of office hours convenient to students, and/or by appointment * Serve as the Public Health Program Coordinator for the online and face to face programs. This involves general oversight of the program including but not limited to: advising duties, class selection, scheduling classes, handling student issues, ensuring proper campus record keeping, and recruitment for online and face to face programs * Participating in ongoing scholarship/research * Participating in service to the department, college, university, and community Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Public Health (or related field) with terminal degree in progress at the time of hire.PhD or EdD would need to be completed by the time of the first reappointment. At least one (1) year of college-level teaching experience as the primary instructor, including experience with a learning management system (LMS). Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating public health, health education, or health promotion programs/policies, experience in use of innovative instructional technologies that contribute to the excellence of the learning experience and academic community, experience teaching in both online and traditional classroom environments, and experience teaching students with varying preparation, interests and aptitudes.
