University of Virginia Pediatric Neuropsychologist in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia has an opening for a full-time pediatric neuropsychologist at the level of assistant or associate professor. The primary responsibility will be neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents with diverse neurological conditions, such as congenital heart disease, complications of prematurity, epilepsy, and acquired brain injury. The neuropsychologist will also be expected to participate in clinical education and develop research collaborations. Priority will be given to candidates who have experience working in a medical setting and are specifically trained in the assessment of complex neurological and medical conditions.

Requirements for the position include: (1) doctoral degree from an APA/CPA accredited program, (2) internship completed at an APA/CPA accredited site, (3) postdoctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology, (4) eligibility for licensure in the state of Virginia, and (5) eligibility for certification as a clinical neuropsychologist by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. Salary, rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience.
