Job Purpose

The Analyst, Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) Meter and Field Deployment is a key member of the overall NY AMI program team that manages all aspects of deployment in support of a smarter, stronger, cleaner energy future for our customers in NY. We are seeking an experienced analyst to help plan, coordinate, monitor and analyze the performance of electric and gas customer AMI endpoints deployment to ensure the AMI program meets its operational benefits and deliverables.

The Analyst will serve as a key point of contact for internal departments and stakeholders to provide performance metrics related to deployment scope performed by internal operations, endpoint installation quality, post-deployment data validation and back-office support. The role will work closely with internal and external field deployment teams, requiring collaboration across all teams to ensure coordination of deployment is as efficient as possible. Additionally, the role will integrate multiple sources of data to deliver high-level reports, and constantly improve program delivery. Data sources include, but are not limited to, Salesforce (Field Service Lightning), Ensight+, CSS and ArcGIS.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to shape the energy transition by deploying cutting edge technology, providing the customers new ways of experiencing energy delivery and providing the company with new ways of managing energy delivery. The role will promote the advancement of smart meter technology, while further developing the skillsets of project management, data analysis, leadership and stakeholder engagement.

This position is located Upstate New York (Buffalo, Syracuse, Utica, Albany).

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor, validate and support post-endpoint installation related data including asset tags/numbers, premise, work orders, address and other billing dependent attributes.
  • Collaborate with other MFD team members to ensure data trends align across multiple data sources.
  • Assist in the categorization, tracking and verification of return-to-utility (RTU) installations performed by internal operations teams.
  • Support the triage, troubleshooting and corrective action of non-communicating endpoints and manage the plan to bring endpoints back onto AMI network
  • Identify gaps in data sources
  • Modify work force management systems (FSL, Ensight+) to account for unplanned changes in near-term deployment plan, requiring adding/removing of
  • Develop reports to monitor the primary installation contractor's overall performance post-installation
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enable communication and promote collaboration across departments
  • Query databases and tables (CSS) to pull and analyze relevant data, providing insight to future deployment strategy
  • Ability to compare premise level data to predefined geospatial areas to understand deployment progress across a defined area.
  • Providing project support and development, including analysis, drafting/writing, presentations, and editing responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and related experience in business, engineering, operations, data analytics or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in the utility industry, customer organization or equivalent
  • ArcGIS Experience is preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder coordination skills are required.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional resources and a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Vendor management experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with energy utility industry regulatory and customer practices and issues
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint

Salary

$71,000 - $84,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
