Job Description Summary:

To directly contribute towards completion of external and internal reporting functions of the Institutional Research and Effectiveness unit by analyzing data, generating reports/visualizations, and otherwise responding to information requests. Will additionally provide supervision, project management and training support to members of said unit.

Essential Duties :

Responsible for the data reporting for the Institutional Effectiveness Inventory for institution-wide strategic planning, including key performance indicators for the College required by SACS .

Responsible for the compilation, analysis, and communication of research requested to facilitate internal decision making and support projects across the college (e.g., program review, strategic planning, college-wide climate surveys, grant applications).

Extracts data from Banner (student information system) and/or other related software programs to facilitate statistical analyses while meeting external reporting requirements, including state/federal reports, reaccreditation requests, and other required reports.

Creates historical data reports using student information from Banner and other sources, verifying accuracy and consistency over time in the context of evolving requirements regarding reporting institutional facts.

Compiles data reports to support accreditation needs, assessment requirements, and other requests of the Dean and Directors.

Builds and maintains Discoverer reports.

Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in an area requiring strong data analysis skills or AA and related work experience.

3 – 5 years related work experience

Knowledge of SQL , Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Oracle Discoverer.

Strong computer, quantitative and analytical skills.

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in numerical, graphical and narrative form.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.

Skill in management of multiple concurrent research projects.

Salary Range: $58,000 + experience
