TheYMCA Summer Program Counselor providesfun and educational care to children entering 1st-4th grade in a summer day camp environment.

• Be a role model.
• Assure that children engage in fun, safe and constructive playtime, field trips and learning activities by implementing themed lesson plans daily.
• Supervise daily breakfast, lunch and snack times.
• Use appropriate disciplinary methods.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe environment.
• Assure child safety by understanding and following safety and security procedures.
• Observe children and communicate appropriately with program supervisors and parents.
• Attend and be an active participant at staff meetings and training.

Seasonal Full Time Shifts Available, Monday-Friday:

June 3rd-August 9th, 2024

• 8:00 am-5:00 pm
• 2:30 pm-5:30 pm

The YMCA Summer Program, or Y Explorers, is for children entering 1st-4th Grade and offers participants fun and educational experiences through weekly themes and daily activities that focus on achievement, relationships and belonging. The program is located at the YMCA at 1608 North Washington in Bismarck.
