Whitsons Culinary Group Production Worker - Berkeley in Berkely, Illinois

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for food service production. Mon-Fri. 7am-3:30pm CT; subject to change ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: · Performs assembly of product into proper containers · Completes pre-assembly work of stocking assembly lines, setting up containers, ensure that all product available and in proper condition. · Applies labeling according to menus and assembles materials into pre-determined packages. · Follows instructions to complete assembly assignments. · Ensure that all procedures are followed for safe food handling · Perform all other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Education: * High school graduate or equivalent. Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: * Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary * Must be able to speak, read and write english PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas * Standing most of the work day is required. * Work requires movement in and out of store rooms, near heavy machinery and freezers * Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. * The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
