Position Overview:

The Saw Filer Helper will work under the guidance of experienced saw filers to ensure the proper sharpening and maintenance of saw blades, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our lumber production.

Responsibilities:

• Assist saw filers in the setup, maintenance, and repair of saw filer equipment, including saw grinders, tensioners, and bench equipment.
• Learn and apply proper techniques for inspecting, cleaning, and repairing saw blades to ensure optimal performance.
• Help maintain accurate records of blade maintenance and sharpening schedules.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of saw blades and related equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
