The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor at the _Universities at Shady Grove_ in Rockville, MD to contribute to the education of Care of Pediatrics. UMSON enrolls more than 1,800 students in its baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. Its interdisciplinary graduate school has more than 40 programs in biosciences, law, and social work, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. Its location in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C.-Annapolis triangle maximizes opportunities for collaboration with government agencies, health care institutions, and life science industries. /Essential Functions/: The position is responsible for teaching courses focused on care of the pediatric patient and achieving positive program outcomes and course objectives in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, entry to practice master’s degree program, and/or RN to BSN program. /Primary Responsibilities:/ Provides classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction for nursing students (BSN, MSN generalist, RN to BSN). Evaluates students and participates in curricular adjustments and modifications for entry into practice and RN to BSN students. Participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of simulations and clinical experiences relative to courses taught.
