Samsung SDS America Logistics Project Coordinator (EM6766) in Austin, Texas

Position Summary:

Logistics Project Coordinator is responsible for designing strategy planning for Logistics freight forwarding business. This position is expected to perform innovative activities to increase work efficiency and estimate the project result to report and provide the best communication between the management and operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Management:
  • Monitor and manage the transportation process for product movement via air, ocean, and land/trucking channels to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  1. Shipment Tracking:
  • Track shipments across different channels, providing real-time updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  1. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare and report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Supply Chain function, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement. Develop performance metrics to evaluate the operating performance of internal supply chain resources and external supply chain partner collaboration model.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Maintain daily liaison with customers, carriers, and internal staff, facilitating smooth communication and coordination throughout the transportation process.
  1. Logistics Procedures and Record Keeping:
  • Support logistics procedures to achieve team goals, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Keep accurate records of all transactions related to logistics operations.
  1. Discrepancy Resolution:
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies and problems related to the transportation/logistics system, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  1. Account Documentation Management:
  • Maintain essential account documentation with up-to-date information, ensuring accessibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  1. Cost Optimization and Coordination:
  • Analyze corporate logistics to identify cost-effective transportation methods. Coordinate with site managers and co-workers to assure effective operations.
  1. Ad-Hoc Reporting and Other Duties:
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as required, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes. Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 3+ years of experience in the logistics industry Including Freight Forwarding and relevant industry knowledge including Strategy Planning

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multi-tasks while paying close attention to detail

  • Positive attitude to solve problems and serve the customers with good care

  • Very Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel/Powerpoint/Word

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or project management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong work ethics

  • Ability to travel up to 10% in U.S.

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. Your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
