TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Grant Manager (Remote) in Austin, Texas

This position is remote and you must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Grant Manager performs highly complex (senior level) contract management work. Work involves developing and evaluating a broad range of contracts. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

-Oversee a portfolio of grants and ensures the oversight of contract deliverables while communicating with TWC staff, other grantees and their partners regarding contract deliverables and performance.

-Develop and negotiate contracts, contract renewals, and amendments according to grant specifications and grantee applications.

-Monitor legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to contracting, ensuring grantees appropriate use of funds.

-Assist in developing, negotiating and makes recommendations in contract administration policies and procedures.

-Performs related work as assigned and required to meet the mission and goals of the team and the Texas Workforce Commission agency.

YOU QUALIFY WITH:

Completion of two years (60 semester hours) of accredited college work, plus three years of full-time experience in contract development, management, evaluation, monitoring, or training of contract providers or customers; or in the delivery of workforce development services which included contract development, management, evaluation, monitoring, or training of contract providers or customers.

One year of experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.

Must obtain Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certification and Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) certification within one (1) year of employment. Must maintain certification throughout employment.

Duty may require up to 10% travel within the state of Texas and the ability to carry 5 pounds.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:

Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) and/or Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD)

Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to grants and contract administration.

Knowledge in research and program planning and development and budget processes.

Knowledge in business administration, financial management and accounting.

Knowledge in grant preparation, development, evaluation, and monitoring.

Ability to interpret guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations.

Ability to evaluate fiscal data for reasonableness, allowability, necessity, and conformity with grant requirements.

Written and oral communication skills to effectively work with stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
