Build and maintain software tools used for acoustic data processing and analysis, acoustic modeling and simulation, and tactical decision aids;Support researchers, engineers, and analysts who utilize these tools and collaborate to make improvements and add new capabilitiesPerform acoustic analysis of Navy fleet active sonar data learning from experience subject matter expertsProcess sonar data through beamforming, signal and information processing strings. Assess data for characteristics which would make it of interest for research and development tasksWork closely with other team members to resolve data quality issues.Identify root causes of data problems and propose remediation plans to prevent future occurrences.Other related functions as assigned.
