Coordinate Informal Resolutions (25%):

  • Accept referrals of Complainants and Respondents from the OE Case Resolution Team who have indicated that they are interested in the Informal Resolution Process in lieu of a Formal Investigation as outlined in the OE Resolution Procedures.

  • Ensure that a Notice of Willingness to Engage in the Informal Resolution Process has been signed by the involved parties, AVC/Title IX Coordinator or designee, and appointing/disciplinary authority as appropriate.

  • Meet separately with Complainants, Respondents, and other involved parties in person and/or remotely to gather information about concerns, requests, and questions about the Informal Resolution Process.

  • Consult with the AVC/Title IX Coordinator and appointing/disciplinary authority, as appropriate, regarding requests made and terms agreed upon by involved parties within the Informal Resolution Process specific to supportive remedies, educational remedies, and disciplinary sanctions.

  • Reach out to and ensure that referrals to specific services requested as part of the Informal Resolution Process are available for involved parties before including them in the Informal Resolution Agreement, which may include, but are not limited to, mediation, restorative justice, adaptable resolution, and educational trainings/programs.

  • Draft Informal Resolution Agreements in line with established resolution procedures, and consult with all involved parties and the AVC or designee to ensure agreement.

  • Send Informal Resolution Agreements for signature.

Coordinate Supportive Remedies and Safety Measures (75%):

  • Provide outreach, coordination, and documentation of all supportive remedies and safety measures facilitated for faculty, staff, students, and/or other third parties, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Academic services and modifications

  • Employment services or modifications

  • Transportation changes

  • Providing referrals to medical and counseling services

  • Providing information and referrals to obtain protective orders and no-contact orders

  • Assisting with residential relocations

  • Interact regularly with the CU Denver/CU Anschutz CARE and Case Management teams, FaST, Auraria and Anschutz Police Departments, Human Resources professionals, Housing and Residence Life, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Offices, Ombuds Offices, the Office for Faculty Relationship, Deans or Chairs of academic departments, and the Office of University Counsel, referring to other offices as appropriate.

  • As requested, attend in person and/or remotely meetings and serve on the CU Denver/CU Anschutz CARE and FaST teams, including coordinating collaborative responses to cases.

  • Work closely with the OE Intake Coordinator and accept referrals from the OE Case Resolution Team to assess cases for safety, and work with the AVC/Title IX Coordinator or designee to determine if an emergency removal is appropriate.

  • In consultation with the AVC/Title IX Coordinator, coordinate accommodations for students specific to their pregnancy or religious needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

  • Substitution : A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specific experience.

  • 1 year of professional experience providing direct services to students or campus personnel in a campus setting.

  • Experience working with Title IX and Title VII compliance in a higher education setting.

  • Experience working with conflict management, adaptable resolutions, or restorative justice practices.

  • Experience with case management or serving on a Behavior Intervention or Threat Assessment Team.

  • Training in Title IX, behavior intervention, and/or threat assessment (i.e., ATIXA, NaBITA, or other related trainings).
