The Department of Specialty Medicine (https://www.ohio.edu/medicine/about/departments/social) at Ohio University Heritage College (https://www.ohio.edu/medicine/) of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics as a joint recruit with OhioHealth to provide teaching and mentorship to osteopathic medical students, fellows and residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Teach, train, and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinical application of pediatrics in the Pathways to Health and Wellness as well as the ambulatory and hospital-based practice. Act as preceptor for students and residents.

· Participate in academic and administrative functions as assigned by the Department Chair.

· Participate in administrative assignments, such as committees, admissions selection, curriculum development, and strategic planning.

· Commit to ongoing professional development and/or advancement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • D.O. or M.D. degree

  • Satisfactory completion of a residency board certified or eligible in Pediatrics

  • Ohio licensure (D.O. or M.D.) prior to starting practice

  • DEA Licensure

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, while also considering internal equity.
