The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Albion College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics,  to begin in August  2024.  We are particularly interested in candidates with qualifications and experience in statistics and data analysis who can contribute to our program in data science teaching both introductory and advanced statistics courses.

We seek a colleague who has demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching mathematics and statistics at the introductory and advanced undergraduate levels and is committed to teaching 3 courses per semester at a liberal arts college. Candidates with previous experience in a liberal arts college environment are particularly encouraged to apply. A doctorate in one of the mathematical sciences is required. Individuals with an active research agenda are sought, especially those with a strong interest in working with undergraduates. 

The person in this position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity in all of their interactions with others on campus, especially historically marginalized students, faculty, and staff (e.g., first-generation, undocumented and DACA, LGBTQIA, BIPOC).
