This position supports the Business Consulting practice at SolomonEdwardsGroup focused on technology solutions and enablement for the commercial and retail banking industry. This is a senior client service position working within the entrepreneurial culture at SEG, providing deep service line knowledge, managing multiple engagements for both clients and internal firm projects and providing sales and sales support to close new business.
This position provides key management skills, delivers effective, practical solutions to our clients, and provides revenue growth for the firm. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages complex engagements and takes ownership of the client relationship. Provides oversight and quality assurance for engagement deliverables to the client. Communicates engagement scope, budget, constraints, expectations, and deadlines. Effectively manages engagement profit and loss.
Provides performance assessment and helps individuals set direction to foster continuing professional development.
Develops mentoring relationships with multiple staff members; fosters trust, candor, and professional development.
Works across category / Sub-category within Practice; building specific SME on way to Director; typically works on single projects
Deliver standard training on tools and methodology to project teams tailored to client SOW
Deliver standard training on tools and methodology to project teams tailored to client SOW
PM Team of 4--9, Project management / execution of SOW; Status reporting; monitoring actual vs. estimate
Vetting Project Candidates, Utilization Management of Project Team & can help across Practice.
Education/Certifications/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related field
At least 8-10 years of experience leading highly technical teams and deliverables across diverse technology environments.
Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience
• At least 5 years of experience in one, or across several of the following Banking domains:
o Deposit and loan operations, ATM, debit, prepaid cards, ACH, wires
o Mortgages, auto, home equity originations and servicing
o Treasury management, investments, wholesale credit processes
o Payment products and lifecycle, payment authorization and clearing
Extensive experience successfully managing and delivering large, complex client engagements or internal projects / initiatives
Experience assisting management in establishing baseline and target metrics for key business and functional processes and goals
Experience managing the technical direction of an IT project and experience in building project plans and staffing plans, including schedules, interdependencies, utilizations and budgets.
The ideal candidate will have experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Knowledge
Understands the core concepts and service offerings of SEG service lines
Substantial knowledge of business operations, including business process improvement
Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes, including ability to recognize opportunity for business process improvement
Knowledge and experience both selecting and delivering projects that align with the specific service line’s business/functional goals and strategies
Drawing upon business knowledge, demonstrates rapid comprehension of client’s operations, their industry and the issues they face
Recognized as a thought leader within practice and with clients
Skills / Abilities
Proven ability to effectively manage engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, defines deliverable content, ensures buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client. Must be able to anticipate complex business problems and recommend preventative action. Strong ability with analytical/statistical problem solving tools.
Proven ability to develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize and lead pursuit teams, participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process, and provide valuable contribution to proposal pricing strategy.
Proven ability to develop solutions and methodologies, development of "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals.
Successfully performs the role of counselor and coach, provides input and guidance into the firm’s talent acquisition process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities.

Salary range $60-85/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
